“Knitting is very conducive to thought.
It is nice to knit a while, put down the needles, write a while,
then take up the sock again. ~Dorothy Day
The first exchange of 2018 is coming soon. Hope you can join in! This one is designed for the beginning knitter. Think: cast on, knit, yarn over, bind off. I’m thrilled Anna Coyne can join us for the morning. Anna is a wife, mother, writer, musician, and avid knitter living in St. Paul. She’s an artist and teacher, and she’ll get us going on a first knitting project with ease (we’ll follow a simple dishcloth pattern). For a peek at Anna’s lovely work you can hop over to Middle West Knitting Co. Anna will bring a variety of hand knit items along and we’ll leave a little chance to shop on the 7th as well.
Anyone with a bit more skill is also welcome to come and glean. Just note in your RSVP whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate knitter. Space is saved for beginners on a first come, first served basis, but we’ll keep a seat or two open if there’s room to spare.
